The Kids Zone

Goal for the weekend: FUN, interactive learning experiences.

From recycled paper projects to building biomes, from a magician to a storyteller, The Kids Zone programs create a space where children can learn about their environment and begin to understand how the choices they make can help change their world and their community.

Location: The Hort Building (Building C on the Fair map) at the Walworth County Fairgrounds

Schedule:

Friday, July 8

1 p.m. - 4 p.m. -- Bill Bosworth of The Science Alliance and his "World Works!" environmental program where children learn about recycling, composting, the water cycle and acid rain with the use of visual demonstrations and active participation.

Additional fun throughout the three days of the Fair

Wisconsin’s K-12 Energy Education Program (KEEP) will provide numerous materials for kids to use to better understand energy including a hand-crank generator that will help kids discover how much energy it takes to light up an incandescent light bulb and a compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) and what that means for energy conservation.
