Testing Water from Private Wells

I am the Walworth County UW-Extension agriculture educator and have training and experience in teaching ground and surface water and quality and conservation issues.

Wisconsin has over 700,000 private well owners/consumers.  Although municipalities are required to test water supplies regularly, there are no requirements for private well owners after the well is drilled.
