How to build a better garden by creating a community of plants
Roy Diblik, perennial gardener and "Plantsman," is one of Walworth County's gem. He is successful in his plantings, not becasue of his formal education, but because he cultivates and understands the plants of our area, and has developed what he calls "Know Maintenance" (TM) gardening. It is Roy's belief that you can plant successfull and beautiful landscapes that can be maintained in cost effective ways over time and be able to determine just how much time and effort will be needed to maintain your gardens.
"You can determine how much work you do based on the plants you choose," he explains. "And you can determine what it will cost to maintain an area before you even put the plants in the ground." Organizations and companies, as well as the home gardener will benefit from this presentation.
Roy Diblik is passionate about growing plants, cultivating over 200,000 perennials each season. He advises both residential and commercial clients, and works on large public projects, such as the Shedd Aquarium, The Art Institute of Chicago, and Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, WI. Locally, he has created his naturally beautiful landscapes for The Village of Fontana, the Lake Geneva Library, and Grand Geneva Resort.
