How do we transition from a rootless - car culture to a deeper connection with our homes, communities,and bioregion? Learn to assess the unique character and resources of the place where you live and develop a more resilient and higher quality of life. Jack will present examples of his own home town and how “thinking globally, acting locally is transforming urban, suburban, and rural communities.
A sense of place is essential for re-localizing our economies and creating a more sustainable lifestyle.
Being able to fulfill basic human needs closer to home saves fuel. A strong sense of identity with our bioregion can contribute to a more satisfying quality of life and reduce material consumption.
