ECOmmunity Network of McHenry
Our Booth
Location
This is a free, informal networking meet-up open to everyone who would like to learn more about "green" living and environmental issues - sustainability, conservation, new technologies, etc. Come to hear interesting speakers, meet new people, share your ideas and info about your own eco-friendly business, projects, or events.
Held from noon - 1 p.m. these informal lunch-hour “meet ups” are free and open to the public. Coffee and ice water are provided; coloring sheets and crayons are available for the youngsters. Live musical entertainment is often provided before and after most Green Bag programs by the talented members of Woodstock's 'Off Square Music' guild. (For meeting dates, phone 815-337-2040 or e-mail: ECOnet.mchenry@gmail.com)
The purpose of our Green Bag Lunch Series is to showcase and promote fresh ideas on “green” topics, to create a friendly forum for stimulating discussion, and to offer a welcoming, inclusive venue where people of all ages, backgrounds and occupations can share their ideas and resources.
Bring your own lunch to munch as you listen . .or, if you choose not to eat, just come to enjoy the presentations, to learn something new, to make new friends . . and maybe some good contacts, too. There are no cliques, no credentializing, and no 'greener-than-thou' litmus tests required here. Everyone is welcome . . and so are your ideas!
